Transportation and Parking

Transportation efficiency is critical in reducing the carbon footprint of the event and we are strongly encouraging carpools, biking to the event, and using public transportation. Of course we’ll help. Here are some suggestions:

Ride your bike! The main roads around UCSD: Torrey Pines Road, Genesee Road, and La Jolla Village Drive all have wide bike lanes. Bike lanes in surrounding roads have been identified by San Diego Regional Commute Services. If you live close to UCSD biking may be your best option for transportation and it is the most environmentally friendly. We will have valet bike parking with security at Spanos Track.
Carpool with family and friends, or find other local racers through the participant map. The participant map will enable you to email event participants that near you to set up a carpool.
Use the MTS public transportation. There are many transit lines that service UCSD and there should be an accessible stop for most participants. Plan your transit trip through Google Trip Planner Enter your home address, UCSD, select “Transit Directions” and “Public Transit” and the service will help you find a convenient transit solution.

Driving Directions

-Gilman Drive from Interstate 5
EXIT on Gilman Dr. and head north
Continue for about 1.5 miles and enter the Center on your right

-North Point from Interstate 5
EXIT Genesee Ave. and head west
Turn left on North Torrey Pines Rd.(3rd traffic light)
Turn left on North Point Dr.(1st traffic light)
Turn right at the second stop sign into the Center

Spanos Track is at the North Point of the UCSD Campus.
